Choosing a mortgage company based on the best rate is not always a great idea.  The process from application to closing is difficult and complicated.  Finding the right loan officer is extremely important to making sure that your mortgage applicaton is processed and approved.  Let's face it, it won't matter that you applied for a 3% mortgage with zero down and zero points if that bank can't close the loan.
